dc.description.resumo Bleaching in devitalized teeth is a conservative aesthetic treatment. Currently looking for the harmony of the smile has become a daily demand in the offices, but like any procedure, the endogenous whitening has risks. The success of the treatment lies in its correct indication and conduction, so it is essential a careful clinical examination, in order to obtain the real state of periapical, periodontal and gingival health as well as the etiology of dental dimming, so that any false expectation is eliminated of the patient about possible outcomes. One of the main consequences and also the most serious is external root resorption. There are different techniques for the accomplishment of bleaching therapy, the present work will carry out a literature review where it will highlight the techniques, indications, contraindications, materials and bleaching agents to be used. dc.description.abstract O clareamento em dentes não vitais é um tratamento estético conservador. Atualmente a busca da harmonia do sorriso tornou-se uma procura constante nos consultórios odontológicos, porém, como qualquer procedimento, o clareamento endógeno possui vantagens e desvantagens. A conquista do sucesso do tratamento clareador endógeno consiste na sua adequada indicação e condução, logo, é essencial um criterioso exame clínico, a fim de se obter o real estado de saúde periapical, periodontal e gengival da estrutura dentária como também a etiologia do escurecimento dental, para que assim seja eliminada qualquer falsa expectativa do paciente sobre possíveis resultados. Uma das principais consequências desfavoráveis e também a mais grave, é a reabsorção radicular externa. Existem diferentes métodos e técnicas para a realização da terapêutica clareadora, o presente trabalho realizará uma revisão de literatura onde irá ressaltar e elucidar as técnicas, indicações, contraindicações, materiais e agentes clareadores a serem utilizados. en_US
