| dc.description.resumo | One of the most accomplished procedures when it comes to surgical removal is the exodontia of the third molar included, since they are teeth that could not erupt inside the normal chronology of eruption. Mandibular fractures may occur in the intraoperative, postoperative or even due to the fragility in the region of the third molar. Treatments for fracture reduction may be conservative treatment or treatment may vary according to the severity and extent of the disease. Is important to guide the patient about the care that should be taken after the exodontia and point out that the dental surgeon must be prepared and aware of these risks, ready to diagnose, clarify and treat the patient if a fracture occurs. The present work has as purpose to evidence the factors that lead to mandibular fracture resulting from surgical procedure of even lower third molar as in the postoperative period. This work was carried out by means of this research already made public in books, magazines and periodicals allowing the researcher knowledge and direct contact of the subject. | En |

| dc.description.abstract | Um dos procedimentos mais realizados quando se trata de remoção cirúrgica é a exodontia do terceiro molar inferior incluso, pois são dentes que não conseguiram erupcionar dentro da cronologia normal de erupção. As fraturas mandibulares podem ocorrer no período transoperatório, pós-operatório ou até mesmo devido à fragilidade na região do terceiro molar. Os tratamentos para a redução da fratura pode ser tratamento conservador ou tratamento cirúrgico podendo variar de acordo com a gravidade e extensão da mesma. É importante orientar o paciente sobre os cuidados que devem ser tomados após a exodontia e também salientar que o cirurgião-dentista deve estar preparado e ter o conhecimento destes riscos, pronto para diagnosticar, esclarecer o paciente e tratá-lo, caso ocorra uma fratura. O presente trabalho tem como propósito evidenciar os fatores que levam a fratura mandibular decorrente do procedimento cirúrgico de exodontia de terceiro molar inferior incluso, tanto no transoperatório como no pós-operatório. Este trabalho foi realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, publicadas em livros, revistas e artigos de periódicos científicos permitindo ao pesquisador conhecimento e contato direto do assunto. | en_US |
