| dc.description.resumo | Fibromyalgia (FM) is characterized by widespread chronic pain, fatigue, sleep difficulties, and tenderness in muscles and soft tissues. There is currently no cure for fibromyalgia, which requires a multidisciplinary approach including education, behavioral changes, exercise and pharmacological treatment for effective control of the disease. The objective of this study is to describe the use of cannabinoids in the treatment of people with fibromyalgia, through an integrative review of the most recent scientific articles on the topic. The studies included in this work suggest that phytocannabinoids, derived from Cannabis, can be an effective and low-cost therapeutic option, with the potential to improve the quality of life of patients with mild adverse effects. However, there is still extensive bureaucracy in accessing these medications in Brazil and there is a lack of scientific research on the use of cannabinoids in the treatment of FM. | En |

| dc.description.abstract | A fibromialgia (FM) é caracterizada por dor crônica generalizada, fadiga, dificuldades no sono e sensibilidade em músculos e tecidos moles. Atualmente não existe cura para a fibromialgia, o que exige uma abordagem multidisciplinar incluindo educação, mudanças comportamentais, exercícios e tratamento farmacológico para um controle eficaz da doença. O objetivo deste estudo é descrever sobre o uso de canabinoides no tratamento de pessoas com fibromialgia, por meio da revisão integrativa dos artigos científicos mais recentes acerca do tema. Os estudos incluídos neste trabalho sugerem que os fitocanabinoides, derivados da Cannabis podem ser uma opção terapêutica eficaz com potencial para melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes com efeitos adversos leves. No entanto, ainda há extensa burocracia no acesso desses medicamentos no Brasil e escassez de pesquisas científicas sobre o uso de canabinoides no tratamento da FM. | en_US |
